India Travel Tourism

India is a well known name for travelers around the world. What can I say about India, “a travelers paradise”, “a tourist haven” , “a civilization to tour through“ or “a land of all seasons” where beauty beckons, culture echoes, diversity delights and tradition talks. The country known for its magical and magnificent diversity is attracting lacs of people every year from all over the globe.

India is surrounded by the great snow capped Himalayas in the North, the Arabian Sea in the West, the Bay of Bengal in the East, and the awesome Indian Ocean in the South.

The wonderful destinations, Unique culture and people of different castes and languages, ancient heritage, pure backwaters, exciting fairs and festivals, interesting pilgrim centers, exclusive heritage sites, rich wildlife and exotic cuisine makes India a perfect destination for the traveler from around the globe. As one is exposed to a country of different religions and customs, a journey to India is the perfect one. The legendary India is regarded as one among the Top Five Tourist destinations of the world, with an increase in traffic from around the world all through the year.

The mighty Himalayas in the north, the vast Indo-Gangetic Plains, lush tropical green forests teeming with wildlife, a 5,000 km-long coastline with golden beaches, magnificent historical sites and royal cities, misty mountain retreats, colourful people, rich cultures and festivities are worth a traveler’s visit.

There are endless number of challenges for the traveler who love doing adventure. Surfing, snorkeling, jet-skiing, boogie boarding, scuba diving, parasailing, windsurfing, and deep sea fishing are some of the water sports that one can indulge in near sea areas like Goa. You can enjoy skiing, mountaineering, trekking and river rafting in areas such as uttranchal. There are a number of pilgrimage spots in India. You can go to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple in Jammu or The Golden Temple in Amritsar .The list is endless. The Indian tourism has a great potential and it offers something to each traveler. A traveler may travel around the globe but a “special feeling” ,"an inner satisfaction" comes only in a country like India that it promises and delivers.

A tour to India is always an eventful and memorable experience and one must take adequate care for the perfect scheduling, planning, and budgeting.

"Unity in diversity" is a phrase often used to describe India as it is home to a multi-ethnic, multi-lingual and multi-religious society. Despite being diverse, a sense of oneness comes in India. Majority of the population consists of Hindus and then Muslims, christians and Sikhs etc. A feeling of unity is always there betwwn all religions. All this makes India a unique destination.

The Taj Mahal in Agra is one of the of fascinating and historical magnificent monuments in the country. Its also one of the 7 wonders of the world.

Tourism in India has received a major boost recently. Indian tourism has grown by leaps and bounds with tourists coming from throughout the world.

There must be something that inspires and makes a traveler from far places to visit India. On reaching India, one is greeted graciously with a smile denoting warmth, hospitality and respect - a tradition in tune with the country’s age-old motto “Athidhi Devo Bhava” where the guest is treated as God.
