Snow Leopard

Snow Leopard is an endangered species of india and a native of Central and South Asia. Its habitat comprises the rocky mountain ranges at an altitude of 3,000 to 3,500 meters above sea level.

-Snow Leopard population is estimated to 3,500-7,000 worldwide and another 600-700 in the zoos
-Average size smaller than other big cats and weighs between 27 and 54 kilos
-Fur color varies from smoky gray to yellowish tan
-Dark grey to black color spots on head, legs, and tail
-Stocky body with rounded ears
-Thick coat of fur and thick tails stored with fats help them to survive cold rocky mountainous habitat
-Leads solitary life protecting their territory ferociously
-Has a body ideal for camouflage and is extremely secretive in nature
-Feed on other animals as well as grass and twigs
