Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board headed by Jammu and Kashmir governor said that the registration for Amarnath Yatra and issue of Yatra Permit (YPs) will be done on first-come-first-serve basis.

Yatri's who are looking to travel for Yatra needs to submit Amarnath Yatra Application Form and Amarnath Yatra Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) to get Amarnath Yatra Permit. The Registration of Yatris for Amarnath Yatra 2017 starts from all bank branches from March 01, 2017. One Yatra Permit shall be valid for registering only one Yatri.

If you want to apply for the Amarnath Yatra Permit, you need to submit the following documents to the registration officer:

    a) filled-in prescribed Amarnath Yatra 2017 application Form; and

    b) prescribed Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) issued on or after Feb 10, 2017 by  the Authorized Doctor/ Medical

    c) four passport sized photographs ( three for Yatra Permits and one for the application form)

Each Registration Branch can allot a fixed number of yatri's per day/ per route quota. The branch registering for the yatra needs to make sure that the number of Yatris registered does not exceed the allotted per day/ per route quota.

No one below the age of 13 years or above the age of 75 years is permitted to undertake Amarnath Yatra 2017 and no lady with who is more than six-week’s pregnant will be registered.  The Amarnath Yatra 2017 Application Form and Compulsory Health Certificate (CHC) is available free of cost to the Yatri by the Registration Branch.

Yatri's who wish to undertake Amarnath Yatra 2017 must see the day printed on their Yatra Permit as without the permit for Amarnath Yatra, you will not be allowed to cross the Access Control Gates at Baltal and Chandanwari (Pahalgam).

The Bank Branch must ensure that the date for which the Yatra Permit is issued for crossing the Access Control Gates matches with the day that has been printed on the Yatra Permit before issuing the Permit to the Yatri. If the Amarnath Yatra 2017 Application Form and CHC proper, the Registration Officer shall issue a YP to the yatri against a payment of Rs.50/ per Yatra Permit. The Registration Official would issue YPs bearing BALTAL for Baltal route and PHALGAM for the Phalgam Route.
